Happy Birthday to the City of Houston’s Lee & Joe Jamail Skatepark.
It was one year ago today that the city opened the downtown skatepark and since then over 60,000 skaters have skated the park, numerous demos and contests have been held, countless spectators and photographers (me included) have documented the facility and its legacy continues to grow.
We look forward to what the skatepark will be bringing us in the years to come.
Already on the bill for this year at the skatepark are more beginner workshops sponsored by PUSH, Kingpinz Summer Session Street Contest, The Roundwall Rumble in the kidney pool and Rock The Cradle For Johnny Romano, a world cup skateboarding event.
